Blue Heron Preserves is a fictitious fruit canning company developed for my packaging design course. The location of the business is set in Houston, TX. This is represented in the selection of the blue heron for the logo’s design; a symbol of both Houston as a city and the hospitality of the South. The logo is a dynamic design: each jar has its own representation of the logo to fit the theme. The purpose of the company is to provide consumers with rare and regional fruit preserves collected from local farms all over the continental United States. The three fruits chosen were Georgia Peaches, Texas Persimmons, and Virginia Strawberries.
Included are the photos of the jars themselves and the progression of the logo’s design.
